Meaning:- Lobularia (Gr) Small-pod
                  Arabica (L) Of Arabia, Arabian

General description:- Annuals.

Stems:-
1) 10-30 cm tall; whole plant grey, with mediflxed, bifurcate hairs.

Leaves:-
1) Simple, lanceolate to oblanceolate, entire.

Flowers:-
1) Inflorescence, an ebracteate raceme.
2) Pedicels, erecto-patent, slender, 4-10 mm in fruit.
3) Petals, 1.5-2 mm, tapering into claw.

Fruit:-
1) Silicula, compressed, latiseptate 2-3.5 mm, obovoid to suborbicular.
    a) valves slightly inflated.
3) Seeds, 1-2 in each loculus. lens-shaped.

Habitat:- Sandy fields and other open, dry habitats, often near the sea. 0-400(-900)
m.

Distribution:- A N. African element occurring from Libya to Palastine. Recently
discovered on Crete. Not known elsewhere in Greece or Europe.
